Brittany introduction

Brittany Coast Path

Brittany Coast Path

Brittany Coastal Creeks

Brittany Inland

We walked a 60 mile section of the Brittany coastline with a group from the Newton Abbot Ramblers in September 2004.

paths are generally extremely well signed

We used the local walking maps that show all the available paths, rather than walking guides which tend to show only the paths walked by the author.

The paths are mostly gently undulating. In most places you need to walk in single file. We found them unobstructed and excellent walking. You can see our path ahead twisting and turning on the next headland. Because of this nature of the paths distances are usually greater than you would measure on the map.

In a few places, the paths can be rough with steep sections - but nothing like the ups and downs you can get on the southwest coast path in the UK.

This is a holiday that we found excellent value for money and we would highly recommend.
