It is possible to walk along the beach from Rockley Beach right in to Bridgetown. But You do need low tide and a calm sea! This means starting at the first light of dawn when the tide is low and the waves are also low. Here we stopped to watch brightly coloured coral fishes in the rock pools.

We scrambled up onto the old sea wall by the new Hilton development. The old cannon form part of the breakwater.

make sure you have footware that you can keep on as you wade round the end. The rock is very sharp and you don't want bare feet!

Round the point and Bridgetown comes into view. It is easy walking from here into town.

Walking between Worthing and Oistins is more difficult, as although you can walk short stretches along the beach, you then need to return to the busy road to get round each obstruction.

I would not recommend trying to walk any distance along this coast road as pavements are narrow or missing in many places.
