Fruit to eat on their own or with a starch meal  Posted by marisa (message id=3359 )
Hi, I am quite new to food combining, I am vegan, but I don't really know much of food combining, I eat my fruits and vegetables at different times of the day, but I am wondering, now that I have researched more about eating fruits, can I eat it with bread, and maybe some nut butter? I feel quite confused, since this is what I am use to, or what about fruits and nuts, will that be ok too?

Please let me know, soon

The best rule is simply to devide all your foods into those which are predominantly starch, those which are predominantly protein, and those which are neither starch or protein.

A meal can be any from the starch group plus any from the neither group.

A meal can be any from the protein group plus any from the neither group.

So you could eat, for example, a banana sandwich spread with nut butter

Hi there, I have just started the Hay Diet, and quite like having fruit for breakfast on my days off work (for a change) and was wondering if feijoas are okay to have with mandarins and milk? Can all fruits be combined or just some?

Thanks

Bean
