There is a good sized free car park beside the roundabout on the edge of the estuary at Averton Gifford. Toilets in the village.

Note that the estuary lane is tidal. It can be impassable for 2.5 hours each side of the high tide, so make sure that your walk times are coordinated with the tide! If you can see the tide flowing in as you get to the river you are too late. The lowest points on the lane are at the beginning and the end of the lane section and fill up fast!!

This is a 10.3 mile walk with several hills. Excellent views.
