This walk starts at the top station of the Finkenberg gondola at Penkenjoch and returns to the mid station of the same gondola.
We took path 57 from penkenjoch to Wangalm, and then path 55 until we could cut across to the track to Lammerbichl.
There are a couple of points where the walk could be shortened by descending earlier to the return path.
Our descent at lammerbichl was not on a path. We dropped down the hillside looking for flowers until we came to path 53 back to Lammerbichalm. Return by the track 51 to Lammerbichalm unless you are very sure footed and sure of your navigation.
We came back on the lower track and paths 53, 61, 59 to Schrofenalm, then via paths and tracks to Neuraufwald, reaching the midstation via path 28.
