It is much easier to start at L Etacq at the end of St Ouen's Bay ,and walk to St John. Get the bus 12a from St Hellier Bus Station.
(The bus times don't suit walking in the opposite direction)
The path is well signed and mostly follows the cliff tops.
The route is easy to follow if you got change to the satellite image on the map above.
