Hiya Linda,
You're menu sounds great. I know I'm not eating quite enough at the moment, but I'm waitng for my recipe books to arrive so I can cook a more varied diet. also, I have 3 birthdays this week to buy presents for, so won't have much food money until next week.. Have you any good recipes?

I just started the whole food combining thing and am an ex vegan hopefully soon to be once again or at least just all natural uncaged free roaming chix and fish. I am also having some difficulty with the whole variation thing and recipes. My biggest question is that if you are not suppossed to eat acid with starch or protein than what the heck can you have on your salad with dinner or a lunch salad with chix. I like olive oil and lemon and I love vinegar but they say it is a no no . Got any ideas and or recipes, this new comer could use some pointers tips and recipes please. Thanks.
Sharon

The acid / alkalie thing comes from someone misunderstanding Dr Hays original work!
His analysis of foods referred to the alkaline earth elements. This was the standard terminology of his day when talking about potasium and calcium.
His injunction was to eat plenty of the foods rich in these elements - fruit and vegetables!
Forget all about acid foods and alkaline foods.
So dress your salad with oil and vingar, it is far better for you than any dressings out of a manufacturers factory.
