hi ali i would just like to say thank you for the encouragement it really does help. i found a really good website. do you rememeber the show Taxi? well marilu henner played the girl part. she has a website called marilu.co and it is all about her changing to food combining . she has a chatline and recipes also.i was wondering how many calories you are eating ,or aren't you counting? hope to hear from you soon. linda

As for calories...I'm not counting...I'm just trying ignore that side of things...or I might get caught up in the dieting circle again.

I'm just eating whole and healthy..as far as possible. But I'm also comprimising a bit at the moment too because although I've thrown some food from the pantry out, there are some things, that aren't quite as processed as others and I can't afford to just throw them away.

I'm also lacking in recipes too as I'm waiting for the books I've ordered from Amazon to come. They should be here by the end of the week, then I can really get going.(Peter, I've bought your book...and yes it was under the name Donna Thomson..weird!)

The hardest thing I've found so far, is not having carbs with protein! I guess it's just a matter of getting used to something new, and undoing the habit of a lifetime.

I could happily live on carb meals only...so I have to be careful to plan protein ones in too.

I must admit that it has been hard today...not because of will power or anything, but because we went out for lunch, but were a bit later that anticipated, so had to eat at the cinema cafe, rather than the restaurant we'd planned. There was nothing on the menu that fitted in with food combining. In the end I had a baked potatoe and tuna, followed by a cookie.

I felt really annoyed that I had to comprimise my eating cos they aren't flexible enough to have a more varied menu!!! LOL ;-)

Well I must go now

hi ali try www.marilu.com. i just put marilu.com and it comes up for me. i had kind of a bad day today. i cook at a nursing home and we had these great bread sticks and wellll i guess i couldn't help myself. i pigged out and had 3 of them. iv'e been having a bagel with tofuti cream cheese on it in the morning and i think that it is wrong. i should be having them later in the morning i guess. i am having a problem getting motivated to exercise also. bye for now i will connect later tomorrow. i live in minnesota so it will be after i get home after 2:30 pm central time.good luck ali and thanks for being my e-mail friend linda

Hi Pete,
Thanks you so much for clearing this up for me. For a while I was pretty confused and left rather lost with all the different data that is out there. Who would have thought that 10 different people have a different view on if one can combine chicken and cheese together etc.
At least know I know I can have a nice chicken salad with the cheese and vegs and not feel bad that i am not food combining. I have found that by following the system I have a lot more energy and I am eating much more fruits and vegs. I love my salads )
