Walking in New Zealand: Matuari Bay
The coastline between Matauri Bay and Whangaroa is beautiful. Matauri Bay is a long stretch of sand.
Their is a steep path up onto the headland from the end of the beach, or an easy path up through the campsite.

On the headland is the memorial to the Rainbow Warrior, Ship of Peace, sunk by the French.
