The Creyml ferry provides a crossing from Plymouth, where there is a free car park. paths in this section are mostly well signed.
There is a good coast path from Cremyl, round Rame Head to Captain Blake's Point, but beyond this it follows the narrow road - with excellent views.
This is mostly level, except for a long and steep flight of steps up and down round a landslip on the edge of Mount Edgecombe Park.
Inland paths provide good circular routes on this section, either over Maker Heights, or following the coast round by Empacombe and Millbrook lake, before climbing over the hill past Wiggle.
