This is a circular walk starting at the car ferry in Fowey. It is easier to drive in from the main Lostwithiel St Austell road and park in the signposted car park above the village.
We went over the car ferry to Bodinnick, then up the path to Mixtow. Follow the small lane past Lombard Farm, then go down to look at the national trust woodland on Penpoll Creek.
You have to come back up to the fork in the paths to go past Colquite and back down to Penpoll Creek again.
We then walked up to Lantegloss Highway to take the track past Trevecca farm down to a peaceful wooded valley just before Trethake Mill.
Looking back at a glimpse of Penpoll Creek from Lantegloss.
By the mill pool at Porthpean House
Turn left at Pont and then take the path up Carne Hill.
Come out at the small road close to Churchtown farm. Turn left up to the coast road,
where you turn right, but take the path away from the road towards the sea. You are looking down into Great Lantic Beach - the path west to Blackbottle rock

Looking west towards the tower on Gribbin Head - beyond Fowey. Mevagissey in the distance.
Looking over the rooftops of Polruan at Fowey.
A passenger ferry runs from Polruan to Fowey - keep your place in the queue, it can get quite busy!
Spring flowers on the cliffs: Vetch.
