The South West Coast path is a beautiful path with plenty of good access points. The main resorts often have fee paying car parks, but most of the walks described here start at free car parks.
The paths are easy to follow, but some stretches can be rough, and there can be considerable rise and fall in a days walking. You will see some lovely beaches, but not all have easy access.

Hello Peter
I was interested to read your journey on the South West Coast path.
I have a month penciled in to hopefully walk most of it starting around June time and would bge interested how you got on with your accomadation.

For most walks we have stayed somewhere central for that section of the coast path and done circular walks each day. One way along the coast and back inland.
Occasionally there is public transport that makes a linear walk easy. Certainly from Weymouth to Exmouth and again from Dawlish to Kingswear public transport helps with linear walks.
If there are a small group of you with two cars, then leave one car at the end of the walk and return to the start. We have done several weeks walking with larger groups in this way.
Accommodation is plentiful all round the coast
