A track of this route in csv format can be downloaded for GPS, or display on a map. Horton in Ribblesdale - park on roadside beside station (not station car park). Cross railway line at station and follow path north of west up Sulber Nick over limestone pavement and grassland.
Turn south at crossing paths for Sulber Gate. Go through the gate, then immediately turn left through wall (not as shown on map). Path drops steeply down, check you can see ongoing path before proceeding. (another misty day, but made this area even more dramatic!
Path drops through dramatic limestone scenery into head of Crummack Dale.
Pass Crummack Farm, then fork left on track to Wharf. Clapper bridge at the Wash Dub Field
Continue east on surfaced road and lookout for path heading up over fields towards Dry Rigg Quarry. [Note well - new maps are entirely wrong here This is not public access land. This is a very active quarry!!]Follow path signed east of quarry and follow round to Foxdale. Continue on path outside Arcow quarry, crossing over railway just before Cragghill Farm. Join the Ribble Way on the banks of the river and follow this pleasant riverside walk back to Horton.
