No sign of a bridge over the river Nong Han

Looking in the opposite direction there was no sign of a bridge,so we headed back to the nearest village. We met two gentlemen walking towards the river heading to a funeral on the other side, and they offered to show us the way.

The bamboo bridge over the river Nong Han

The first section of the bridge is two bamboo poles. The next section is just one bamboo pole as the second has broken! But it saved us from having to return by the same route! Note that I doubt this is passable after heavy rain.

Looking back over the Nong Han at the bamboo pole bridge

There was very little water flowing in the river - but the flood banks on top of the river bank are there for a purpose.
