The path eventually reaches the stream at a small waterfall (no bridge) cross here and return by the track on the west bank, dropping down before the lime kiln to cross blind gill just below mine workings.

The path up from here is well worn, and comes out on a track just above the lead mines

Follow the track west (don't take the north branch). As the track starts to drop down into east Grain keep a sharp look out for the path that leaves the track here to follow the north side of the valley down. We followed the good path down past Crackpot Hall

Here we continued on the track northwest to the bridge below Keld. Don't turn down by the riverside, continue up a steep hill before turning left at the signposts.
