We took the gondola up from Canazei to Pecol, then the next cable car to the Col del Rossi. Bright blue sky. Walked the 601 path to the pass de pordoi.
Gondola up to Sasso Pordoi. Lots of people but fantastic views.Then a barren limestone landscape to the Rif Boe hut. Path 627. Followed path 647 and a very long descent of over 4000 ft back to the village. Very varied, very enjoyable, not an easy walk.11 miles
